Our Summer Plans

Here at Nystrom\'s we are constantly staying busy and working on improving or quality, workmanship, and selection. The Display garden is starting to reach completion-if it ever stops raining! After a short trip to the Rotary Gardens in Janesville, we decided to rework some of the layout and alter the topography in the garden. The extra time and delayed finish will be well worth the added contours and dimensions of the space. Stay tuned for more posts regarding its development.

The first seminar of the Summer is going to be held on July 16th at 6 P.M. Topics are going to include summer and fall insect problems, drought tolerant perennials, and summer pruning of trees. If interested please R.S.V.P. by July 10th.

Our second planting of trees and shrubs for next year is underway as well. We should have some really nice Maples and Hydrangeas in 2010 and as always, at a fair price. We are also adding more unique and hard to find plants to our mix which will be ready for sale next year and beyond. Look for some nice contorted Black Locust and Seven-Son Flower.

The big push for our fertilizing division is amping up for Japanese Beetles. The below average tamperatures will probably be delaying them a week or so this year, but now is the best time to apply preventative spray.
